What is the date 30 days from today?

Add 30 calendar days to today's date — the calculator does it the moment the page opens and shows the weekday too. For example, 30 days from September 26, 2026 is Monday, October 26, 2026, and 90 days is Friday, December 25.

How do I count days from today by hand?

Take the days left in this month, then subtract whole months until what is left fits in one month. From September 26: 4 days finish September, 31 finish October, 30 finish November — that is 65 — and 25 more reach December 25, for 90 days.

What date is 10 business days from today?

Count only Monday to Friday. Starting on Saturday, September 26, 2026, the 10th business day is Friday, October 9. Choose "business days without federal holidays" to skip holidays like Columbus Day too.

How do I find a date in the past?

Switch "Direction" to "Before today". The table under the result then lists the dates 30, 60, 90 and more days ago.

Does it count today?

No — day 1 is tomorrow, so 30 days from Saturday, September 26, 2026 is Monday, October 26. That is how due dates and "within 30 days" deadlines are usually counted; check the terms if a deadline says "including today".

How do I count 30 days for a deadline that says 'within 30 days'?

Start with the day after the triggering event as day 1 and count 30 calendar days; if the last day falls on a weekend or holiday the contract or law may roll it to the next business day, but that depends on the rule, so check the wording. From Monday, November 16, 2026, 30 calendar days ends on Wednesday, December 16, 2026.

Is 30 days the same as one month?

No. A month is 28 to 31 days, so 30 days from the 16th of a month rarely lands on the 16th of the next one. From Monday, November 16, 2026, 30 days lands on Wednesday, December 16, 2026, while one calendar month would be December 16.

Calendar days and business days

Calendar days count every day. Business days count only Monday through Friday, and the “without federal holidays” option also skips the US federal holidays on the days they are observed: a holiday on a Saturday is observed on the Friday before, and one on a Sunday on the Monday after. Neither count includes the start date, so day 1 is the next day.

Worked example: counting from November 16, 2026

From Monday, November 16, 2026, 30 days ahead is Wednesday, December 16, 2026, 90 days is Sunday, February 14, 2027 and 180 days is Saturday, May 15, 2027. Looking back, 60 days earlier was Thursday, September 17, 2026. For business days, 10 weekdays ahead is Monday, November 30, 2026, but skipping federal holidays (Thanksgiving on November 26) moves it to Tuesday, December 1, 2026, and 20 business days, still skipping federal holidays, end on Tuesday, December 15, 2026.

Common mistakes

Counting the start date as day 1 shifts every answer by a day. Treating 'one month' and '30 days' as interchangeable is the second. Business days are a third: contracts and carriers define them differently, and many exclude additional holidays that are not federal, so confirm the definition if money or a legal right depends on the date. Finally, a deadline in another time zone ends at the end of that day in that place.

Counting rules for legal deadlines vary; for court deadlines see Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 6(a), which excludes the day of the triggering event and counts every day, including weekends and holidays, with an extension to the next business day when the last day falls on one.
